Well, I guess it’s time to change some things, and that’s ok. What’s a new year without changes anyway? This was not actually planned, but since Ziplist is out of business, I had to cruise around the internet to find something comparable and easy to use.
You’ll notice that now I have a Yum button on my recipes in place of a save button – here’s a little snippet for you:
In Ziplist, save would save the recipe to your recipe box on their site, but the Yum button does the same thing – just click on it to save my recipes to your Yummly recipe box. Couldn’t be easier!
I really liked using Ziplist because I surf all over the internet for recipes, and it allowed me to save them in one place so whether I was on my laptop or iPad, I could get to them. Yummly does the same thing and adding recipes through your browser is super easy with the Yum Bookmarklet!
You just go to the link (or click on the image) and drag it to your browser toolbar and that’s it! Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
All future recipes will be formatted using the Yummly Rich Recipe Plugin and it takes care of the formatting for you because it’s actually a fork of the Ziplist plugin – win win.
Now I have to convert all of my Ziplist recipes to Yummly and I don’t even mind! I’m just glad that you guys can save my recipes in one place and hope that you love using Yummly too!
Now go grab that bookmarklet and cruise the web for some exciting new culinary creations for the new year! You can check out our recipes on Yummly as well, but it isn’t complete by far. All in good time!
Enjoy!
