Live G Free – Aldi Brand Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yep, it’s another post about gluten free chocolate chip cookies.
Last time, I created a gluten free version of Nestle Tollhouse Cookies, but this time we are going to take a look at Aldi’s new Live G Free brand Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix.
It’s not a secret that I have no love for most gluten free box mixes, mainly because in my opinion it is just poor quality, however Aldi has come out with a gluten free brand that is worthy of a post.
There is another brand out there that I feel really rushed to the market, and their product is proof. We tried to make the cookies and the dough was so crumbly and dry that it was really a waste of time and we were so disappointed. Ever just want a chocolate chip cookie badly and have them turn out like gritty dirt balls? It’s not fun, especially when you’ve just GOT to have them.
That is actually what prompted me to make a gluten free version of Tollhouse and they are sooo good, but what about times when I don’t have a bag of chocolate chips laying around? No cookies, that’s what happens.
By the way, it’s worth mentioning that I buy bags upon bags of chocolate chips every single month, but when I go to make something with them my cupboard is bare. Why? Because I live with some major chocoholics. My best friend even went as far as opening and breaking up my chocolate bark just because she had to have some. They are chocolate eating fools up in here, I’m tellin’ ya.
Every week I’ve been stopping in at Aldi and about every week they have something else from this new brand and it’s like Christmas! Oh, and if you LOVE snickerdoodles – get to Aldi. They have a Live G Free version that are already made that are so soft and cinnamon-y-licous that I could just go on and on about them, but this post is about chocolate chip cookies, not Snickerdoodles …but man they are good!
This is the deal: today’s recipe instructions are as follows:
Get to Aldi – there is one in Miamisburg by Ollie’s, one in Englewood on Taywood and one in Riverside in Airway. Get there and buy a few boxes, you won’t be disappointed!
